Job Description:

As a Junior Java Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications, ensuring seamless integration with the front-end components. You will work closely with a team of experienced developers to design, implement, and test back-end functionalities. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is eager to build a strong foundation in back-end development using Java.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
  2. Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and related frameworks.
  3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
  4. Implement data models, and database schemas, and perform database operations using SQL or NoSQL databases.
  5. Integrate APIs, web services, and third-party systems into the application.
  6. Perform unit testing and troubleshoot/debug application issues.
  7. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  8. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in back-end development.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. Solid understanding of Java programming language and object-oriented principles.
  3. Knowledge of back-end development concepts and frameworks, such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Java EE.
  4. Experience with databases, including SQL and/or NoSQL.
  5. Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
  6. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
  7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  9. Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to collective goals.
  10. Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in back-end development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  2. Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker.
  3. Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
  4. Understanding of software development principles and practices, including code versioning, documentation, and deployment.
