Instructional Designer
W2 Contract
Salary Range: $104,000 - $124,800 per year
Location: Cupertino, CA - Hybrid Role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a learning professional experienced in designing and developing e-learning, instructor-led, and virtual instructor-led curricula. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing creative and engaging training materials. They will thrive in a collaborative environment and constantly strive to improve the training materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using facilitation and inquiry skills, collaboratively work with team members, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business owners to disseminate feedback and incorporate it to create comprehensive and audience-specific training.
- Manage day-to-day activities of multiple assigned projects, communicate status updates, and proactively identify changes in the scope of work to ensure appropriate planning measures are taken to assess the impacts of scope change.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, such as Client Engagement, production operations, and QA, to plan and deliver on urgent timelines.
- Support the delivery of training and incorporate critical feedback.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing training materials for instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, and e-learning
- Experience carrying out all activities in the Training Development Life Cycle using the ADDIE model.
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience designing and developing blended learning using tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Articulate Storyline, or Camtasia
- Experience with video creation tools such as FinalCut Pro or Camtasia
- Experience with Adobe Captivate is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization, both technical and non-technical
- Experience in virtual training facilitation and engagement techniques.
- Knowledge of instructional design methodology and adult learning concepts, principles, and practices with experience applying this knowledge to adult learners
- Able to manage projects to meet deliverable dates.
- Able to give and receive feedback.
- Self-directed with strong project management skills and initiative to learn new applications independently.
- Experience with Confluence is a plus.
