Software Test Engineer

The main function of a Software Test Engineer is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.

Responsibilities:

1. Experience reviewing security context of windows software.
2. Knowledge of windows security architecture.
3. Experience with packet capture software.
4. Experience with sysinternals tools.
5. DNS knowledge.
6. Networking experience.
7. Experience with windows registry.
8. Experience with sandbox security technologies and hyper-v.
9. Experience with Fiddler, wireshark and network monitoring tools.
10. Experience with pcap and ncap tooling.
11. Ability to analyze packet captures and their implications in a secure network.
12. Ability to write and update scripts.
13. Familiarity with Git and development tooling.

Experience:

1. Associate’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
2. 8-10 years experience required.
3. Experience testing software.
4. Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports.
5. Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65.04 to $72.27 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
