Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for an Integration and Test Lead 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is an on-site position and will be located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Position Overview:

The selected I&T IPT Lead will be supporting a program that is targeting a series of captures by modifying the Empire Builder product line to exploit both X and S-Band frequency domains. As part of the broader Empire Builder team, the Dual Band I&T lead would focus on leveraging the product line to rapidly deploy new and existing functionality into a series of captures. This position would provide technical planning for the program office while coordinating day-to-day technical activities with a team working under their guidance. As the role is technical, it is expected that the I&T lead would also perform specific integration tasks and develop a specialization in certain aspects of the system.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Technical planning, asset utilization management, test preparations, lab planning
  • Jira Product Owner for Dual Band tasks and sprint planning with team
  • Bench prioritization and scheduling
  • I&T of Dual Band specific functionalities, including performing the technical work as well as delegating work to a small team of contributors
  • Coordination with broader Product Line I&T team
  • Customer demonstrations, tours, and presentations

This is a leadership role, requiring a high level of organizational skill, professionalism, and ability to work across NG sectors to accomplish goals on a tight schedule.

Basic Qualifications (BQ's):

This requisition may be filled as either an I&T Engineer 2 or a Principal I&T Engineer 3 level.

BQ's for Engineer 2:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance is required
  • RF Hardware Experience

BQ's for Principal Engineer 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years experience, or a PhD and 0 years of experience.
  • Secret Security Clearance is required
  • RF Hardware Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical planning, asset utilization management, test preparations, lab planning
  • Configuration Management, for instance git, bitbucket
  • MATLAB, MATE
  • Basic team leadership, peer/lead
  • Sensor experience, in particular radar
  • RF test experience
  • +Jira, Atlassian tool suite
  • Agile, PI and sprint planning
  • Basic IQ signal processing
  • Controls and low level integration
  • ACT cognizance
  • DAESA or at least AESA
  • Multi-function, segmented arrays
  • The more digital beamforming, multi-channel experience the better
  • RF calibration, radar waveform concepts
  • Antenna test

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900

Salary Range 2: $102,400 - $153,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
