Safety - Comply with site safety rules and safe work practices, with special emphasis on Life-Saving Rules. Actively reviews and assess how design packages are designed to ensure that all safety standards are incorporated into the final design. Ensure that the design and execution of their respective projects introduces only acceptable risk to the refinery.
Environmental - If applicable, work with the Environmental engineering group on all projects to ensure that all applicable rules and policies are met.
Reliability - actively encourage participation of refinery reliability engineers in the design and quality check processes to insure good reliable design.
Productivity - Maintain a high level of personal productivity. Be able to define and maintain personal metrics in regard to deliverables to project management and end users.
Work Quality - Provide continuous review of project designs and actively encourage project team members to review design packages throughout the whole design process to ensure the best engineering practices related to quality are maintained.
Communication - Provide accurate and timely communications with respect to project management and team members.

Instrument Controls Designer
We are looking for an experienced Instrument Control Designer to join our team in service for one of our major clients located in Memphis, Tennessee. The Onsite Instrument Controls Designer will entail the development of instrument construction packages along with all subsequent support documentation. Location: Memphis, TN 38109
Per Diem: Available to applicable candidates (Up to 12 months)
Pay Range: $55.00-$75.00 (Based on Experience)
Duration: 12 months (may extend)
Description:
- Onsite Instrument Controls Designer will entail the development of instrument construction packages along with all subsequent support documentation.
- Work will not be limited to but will include panel layout and termination drawings, block diagrams, instrument index, specifications and loop diagrams, SIS Design, fiber, cable tray design and routing, PLC design.
- Individual should be able to perform field walk downs and verify work prior to design and participate and lead all levels of drawing package reviews.
- Drawings will be developed utilizing AutoCad and administered to contractors via client company protocol.
- This position will also interface with engineering firms to support external design efforts at the refinery.
- Work will include: Assisting with locating reference drawings, ensuring submitted packages meet client company design requirements and ensuring proper submission of final deliverables.

Requirements:
- At least 8-10 years with a minimum of 3 in a refinery or heavy industrial plant environment
- Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications. IN tools experience not required but preferred.
- High School Diploma
- Must have an active TWIC card
- Candidate must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Individual should be highly motivated and work well with other disciplines.
