BackEnd Software Engineer: BackEnd Developer / Python

Software Engineer, Full-time / Perm. / San Francisco, CA

Our Backend Software Engineers do the hard work to make sure we keep up with the immense amount of data volume growth we get each month. They maintain and improve our in-­house database and help design new backend infrastructure that is capable of processing billions of data points in real-­time. We use Python, C/ C++, and/or Javascript.

Responsibilities:

● Build fast, scalable, distributed, and fault-­tolerant backend systems.

● Come up with simple and robust solutions to constantly improve the reliability and performance of our systems to keep up with the company’s rapidly growing scale.

● Design and improve the core infrastructure on which we build our products to handle extremely high write load.

● Maintain and improve our own in-­house database written in Python, C, and C++.

● Help maintain our 500+ servers distributed across different data centers.

● Help design new pieces of backend infrastructure that are capable of processing billions of data points in real-­time.
