SUMMARY


This position provides manufacturing and new product support for the development, design, launch and sustaining of Military /Aerospace components. It will include manufacturing support to the production operations. This role includes day to day support at local manufacturing facility.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION: A four-year Engineering college degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering



EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years of process or manufacturing engineering experience. “Hands-On” experience in plant, lab or manufacturing environment is desirable.



KNOWLEDGE: Required technical knowledge includes product, tooling, and fixture design, working knowledge of material selection including metals and non-metals, technical knowledge of software such as AutoCad.


SKILLS: Must have understanding of component manufacturing techniques, such as transfer and injection molding, machining, etc. Knowledge of software such as AutoCad and Solidworks desired.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.



SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES



Evaluate manufacturing processes and propose improvements driving cost reduction


Design and develop necessary tooling and fixturing to support production


Conceptualize, design and deliver manufacturing solutions that meet or exceed the program requirements.


Provide technical inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.


Support the launch process of new or reintroduced parts to production.


Assist with training production operators as well as documenting processes related to equipment usage.


Attend program, design review, and group meetings and actively participate in discussions


Other duties as assigned
