Assemblers
9/80 work schedule with occasional overtime
Pay rate: $17.69 hr.
Summary
Will perform a variety of final operations to assemble precision standard mechanical products of small size, requiring adjustments and fitting which will meet operating specifications within tolerances at test/work bench set-ups, following a standardized set-up and methodized procedures. Will maintain acceptable and consistent productivity and levels.
Daily Activities:
- Works from simple process sheets, written and/or verbal instructions to perform duties.
- Obtains and assembles product, using hand and power tools. Tests and locks product for specified PSI output.
- Tests for repeatability, nervousness, flow, bleed rate, drop out; corrects deficiencies by changing components, reassembles.
- Requisitions parts. Loads in stock racks.
- Keeps running inventory of in and out parts.
- 'Maintains necessary records. Detects and reports improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Keeps work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as required or as directed.

- Physical requirements include ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction; pick, pinch or otherwise work primarily with fingers.
- Ability to stand for sustained periods of time and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to use upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
- Ability to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
- Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The incumbent is subject to air and/or skin exposure to oils or other fluids.
- Visual acuity sufficient for work which deals largely with sub-assembly and final assembly of machine components, involving the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform repetitive or routine duties working from detailed instructions and under standard procedures.
- Requires making minor decisions.
- Ability to endure periods of heavy workload.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or its equivalent. Valid driver's license
