ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN is seeking a VP, Software Development for a 100% remote role, FTE in Dallas, TX. Our client offers a SaaS solution to their clients and is making a strategic investment in technology. The VP, Development will report to the CTO and oversee Development and QA. We are seeking a dynamic VP, Development to drive our client's technology strategy with a strong focus on three core initiatives: leading the adoption of QA automation, investing in the core software of our client's legal tech platform, and optimizing billing platform for scalability and efficiency. This role is critical in positioning the company for continued growth and innovation in the legal tech space. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's technology strategy, shaping the future of legal operations software.
- Strategic Investments in Core Technology: Drive initiatives to evolve the core software platform, focusing on scalability, security, and innovation. Make forward-thinking technology decisions to keep the product competitive and aligned with the company's long-term goals.
- Oversee QA Automation Adoption: Spearhead the implementation of automated testing frameworks to improve software quality and accelerate release cycles. Partner with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement through automation.
- Optimize Billing Platform: Lead efforts to refine and scale the billing platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of clients and provides efficient, seamless functionality.
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable SaaS products. Collaborate closely with product management to ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives. Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration and adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Build and lead a high-performing development team, providing mentorship, guidance, and strategic oversight to ensure excellence in execution.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a SaaS environment. Strong background in software architecture, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and modern development frameworks.
- Experience working with billing systems or financial platforms that require high levels of accuracy and scalability. Proven track record in overseeing QA automation initiatives and delivering improvements in software quality. Expertise in Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing processes. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
