Mechanical Engineer /Applications Engineer

The successful Applications Engineer candidate will be part of a team working to expand a strong and proven concept, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder value. You will be responsible for working closely with the product development team and field technical resources to verify and validate technical solutions and new product platforms in addition to providing engineering support to internal and external customers. This role collaborates closely with the engineering team to provide technical expertise, support, and innovative solutions to our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or closely related
- AT LEAST 5 years of experience working with OEM components or Robotics or NPI (new product information)
- R&D process experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The successful candidate will have the ability to challenge the organization effectively, resolve problems, and be willing to provide a hands-on approach in finding solutions.
- Provide hands-on investigation, failure analysis or root cause analysis of reported issues using Problem Solving Method.
- Establish and maintain application test systems that effectively represent the customer experience.
- Read and interpret electronics schematics, mechanical drawings, and interface control drawings.
- Coordinate field trials and testing to validate effectiveness and performance of pre-production prototypes.
- Conduct internal application trials and tests for verification and qualification of products.
- Research viable components and subsystems, evaluate performance and documents or OEM Solutions.
- Utilize departmental issue tracking systems to manage workflow, assign issues and maintain real-time status of reported issues.
- Publish application notes and Best-Known Methods (BKMs) to assure and improve system performance. * Analyze trends and publish for reported issues.
- Collaborate with engineering team colleagues as needed to quickly resolve issues to satisfy internal and external customers.
