Job Title: Digital Plant Manager (DPM) - Data Analytics Focus
Location:
The Digital Plant Manager (DPS) is an on-site role located in Dallas, TX with domestic and international travel required to meet business needs.
Overview:
EMD Electronics plant in Dallas, TX is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Plant Manager (DPM) with a specialization in data analytics to drive process improvement and operational efficiency on the manufacturing floor. The DPM will play a pivotal role in applying machine learning, multivariate statistics, and predictive modeling in a complex manufacturing environment to solve challenging business problems, improve quality, and reduce cost.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead the development of data analytics techniques, methodologies, and solutions within the manufacturing environment.
- Apply statistical, machine learning, and other modeling methods to extract insights from complex manufacturing data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance overall plant performance and productivity.
- Lead the design and implementation of data analytics projects, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Work closely with the data engineering and data science teams to align data analytics initiatives with business objectives and best practices.
- Serve as lead trainer for site staff to accelerate adoption of digital platform/UPTIMIZE tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with industrial applications of statistics for process control/optimization with quantifiable business impact.
- Proficiency in multivariate statistical analysis and applied machine learning.
- Proficiency with SQL and Python, including PySpark, pandas, and scikit-learn.
- Excellent communication (English) and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is critical.
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Experienced track record of using data analytics to perform root cause analysis, improve product quality, increase operational efficiency, reduce manufacturing conversion costs, and eliminate scrap and rework.
- Experience working with enterprise data analytics platforms, particularly AWS, Tableau, and Palantir Foundry.
- Demonstrated experience managing scope, cost, and timeline for large-scale projects.
