JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the SVP of Technology, the VP (Digital Platforms) will be at the forefront of our digital transformation journey by driving strategic vision and execution for enhanced innovation, improved operational efficiency, and elevate our digital landscape. The VP (Digital Platforms) will be responsible for overseeing teams of software platforms and providing leadership, vision, product strategy/roadmap and technology direction for the platform engineering organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll lead the charge in adopting cutting-edge technologies and championing best practices to achieve business excellence. This position is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent, as well as ensuring the staff has the skills and capabilities to meet business needs. This individual should be a demonstrated leader with the ability to assimilate multiple concurrent projects and prioritize key initiatives that align with C-Suite strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Product Strategy and Execution:

  • Provide thought leadership, strategic insight, and clear communication to the platform engineering team on the product strategy and roadmap for Digital Transformation (Content, Portal, UI/UX, eCommerce).
  • Develop and articulate a forward-thinking digital engineering strategy, the “why” of the product, establish a vision, and be able to align that vision with the company business objectives.
  • Drive the implementation of digital solutions, including software development, data analytics, cloud adoption, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Foster a culture of agility, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Technology Leadership:

  • Provide strategic technical direction for the IT group, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee end-to-end software development, system architecture, and infrastructure management.
  • Champion the adoption of modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, etc.) and best practices.

Innovation And Emerging Technologies:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and disruptive innovations.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and frameworks to enhance our digital ecosystem.

Data Analytics And Visualization:

  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive actionable insights on all Digital platforms.
  • Drive usage of Google Analytics and other SEO tools for driving digital business.
  • Utilize tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar for data visualization and reporting.

Digital Security and Compliance

  • Ensure robust cybersecurity practices across all digital initiatives.
  • Mitigate risks related to data privacy, compliance, and information security.

Innovation And Emerging Technologies:

  • Stay abreast of Digital industry trends, emerging technologies, and disruptive innovations.
  • Be a visionary. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and frameworks to enhance our digital ecosystem.

Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across all Digital Platforms (Digital Marketing sites, Customer Application Portals, eCommerce)
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives working with CTO and key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, eCommerce and other business areas.
  • Mentor and develop technical talent within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Track key metrics for the different roles in the SDLC lifecycle for continuous improvement within the MIS organization and hold team members accountable.
  • Track progress, assess risks, coordinate delivery, and actively communicate contingency and mitigation plans for the team;

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and consultants.
  • Evaluate and select vendors working with Architecture group to ensure they meet business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (12+ years) in advanced technology roles, with a focus on Digital platforms, UI/UX and Application development.
  • At least 5+years of proven software Product Management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Cloud Technologies, Content Management (Drupal) and UI/UX Frameworks (Angular, React), .NET, API Frameworks, eCommerce Technologies (Adobe Commerce- Magento, WooCommerce) and other relevant technologies.
  • Understanding of SEO, Marketing principles along with AI usage on Digital Platforms space.
  • At least7years of proven experience leading Product Management teams.
  • Proven ability to build, launch and scale software products.
  • Experience in leading product or applications teams working onbuildingcross functionalsoftware that integrates withSalesforce and Oracle products is a big plus;
  • Ability to handle many concurrent projects and proactively reprioritize to meet business and product priorities without needing guidance;
  • Experience working with Engineering teams as a Product Manager and have demonstrable experience leading cross-functional teams to define, execute and iterate on large multi-team, multi-quarter projects;
  • Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data as well as conducting research through various discussions with customers and teammates.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
