Job title: Manager of Structural Engineering

Our client is a prominent player in the offshore wind sector with an impressive development pipeline totalling 20GW. They are dedicated to delivering sustainable energy solutions and are currently seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to oversee high-quality structural engineering and design initiatives crucial to the success of offshore wind farm projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the structural engineering and design development process, ensuring adherence to project requirements, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Supervise technical review and provide advisory support on engineering deliverables, engaging with various stakeholders to address structural issues.
- Coordinate comprehensive structural engineering and design aspects, including integrated load assessment, structural interfaces, transportation and installation design, and equipment selection.
- Facilitate the tendering process for work packages, contributing technical expertise to document preparation, bid evaluations, and specification development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, demonstrating proficiency in structural engineering and management within offshore projects, including renewable energy and oil & gas sectors.
Industry experience in designing fixed and/or floating offshore structures is highly desirable.
Thorough understanding of key topics such as fatigue, buckling, finite element analysis, structural dynamics, hydrodynamics, and soil-structure interactions.
Proficiency in linear and non-linear offshore structural analysis and FEA software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, SESAM, ASAS, STAAD, SACS, or similar packages.
