The Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with Moxion Power, you’ll help us execute our manufacturing roadmap and bring our products to market at scale. You will have the opportunity to leverage the most advanced automated manufacturing technologies to deliver products that will transform and disrupt massive industries that haven’t seen innovation in decades. What you'll do:

  1. Work with lasers, robots, and other automated manufacturing equipment
  2. Bring projects from initial concept to full-scale production
  3. Deliver on time and on budget at a high level of quality
  4. Solve ambiguous problems using fundamental, data-driven methodologies
  5. Provide detailed DFM/DFA feedback to other team members to ensure that products and processes are efficient and high-quality
  6. Develop and maintain PFMEA documentation for assembly processes
  7. Perform ergonomic assessments of work stations
  8. Validate equipment and design process layouts and fixtures
  9. Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks
  10. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness
  11. Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing
  12. Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness
  13. Determine root causes of failures or recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods, using statistical procedures
  14. Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures
  15. Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes
  16. Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
  17. Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards
  18. Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs
  19. Train production personnel in new or existing methods
  20. Design tests of finished products or process capabilities to establish standards or validate process requirements

Skills to be successful:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  2. 4+ years engineering experience in a relevant industry
  3. Vehicle electrification experience (high voltage mechanical design)
  4. Automated manufacturing processes and equipment experience
