The Role

Design and Engineering: Develop and optimize treatment systems using advanced membrane processes, ion exchange, and other relevant technologies. Prepare detailed engineering deliverables including system design basis, PFD, P&IDs, control narratives, datasheets, commissioning and performance testing plans, and O&M manuals.

Project Management: Develop preliminary design documentation and project costing to complete technical and commercial proposals. Support water and wastewater treatment projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Process Optimization: Continuously improve treatment process design by analyzing performance data, conducting trials, and implementing enhancements at operating plants and for subsequent designs to achieve optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements, provide technical expertise, and offer customized solutions to address their water and wastewater treatment challenges. Participate and present in customer meetings, including bid clarifications, design reviews, safety and quality studies (i.e. HAZOP, FMEA, etc).

Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed engineering reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations effectively.

Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in water and wastewater treatment technologies, conduct research, and participate in the development of new products or processes to enhance Gradiant Corporation's offerings.

Industry Standards & Compliance: Ensure that water and wastewater treatment systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and permits.

Teamwork: Work effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams using excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing water or wastewater treatment systems, preferably in an industrial or municipal setting.

Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, including membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, and ion exchange.

Practical experience commissioning or operations/maintenance of water or wastewater treatment plants is desirable.

Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation and automation is desirable.

Proficient in the use of MS Office: Word and Excel, as well as the use of VBA.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Some travel, including international, may be required.
