Title: System Engineer

Location: Irving, Tx (Hybrid from day 1)

Responsibility:

  1. Provide expert level troubleshooting and support of ESX Infrastructure and Turbonomic Instances, Rules, Configurations, and Activities/Actions
  2. Drive productivity, recommending improvements, remediation and operational excellence using ITIL methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
  3. Work closely with the multiple teams to ensure robustness, scalability, and global applicability of solutions.
  4. Work with project teams and developers to ensure those teams understand compatibility with virtual platforms and Virtual Workspace architecture and requirements.
  5. Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability.
  6. Persuade and influence leaders across multiple teams through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.

Qualifications:

  1. IBM Turbonomic
  2. VMware Policies, especially DRS
  3. VMware Vsphere 5.0-7+
  4. VMware Horizon 6, 7+
  5. Big Data Reporting with tools like Elk, Splunk
  6. Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2019+
  7. Basic Scripting with tools like PowerShell, Python, etc.
  8. Planning, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  9. Ability to perform complex and varied assignments in support of the team's scope of work.
  10. Ability to exchange complex information within team and with others.
  11. Analytical thinking and experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  12. Team-oriented and collegial approach to addressing challenges.
  13. Strong people, process, and business focus.
  14. High level of proficiency with all Server Based Computing Platforms and the tools used to support them.
