The Role
As an early member of our engineering team you will play a key role in the design and commercialization of our electrical system. You will own the component selection, component integration, analog and digital communication architecture, power and signal sub-assemblies that are the backbone of our products. You don’t just deliver harnesses and cabling, you build beautiful and elegant systems!
We are bringing advancements in technology to industries that have been neglected for a long time. Your electronic control interfaces will introduce these advancements and help to guide customers through the energy transition. Our current tech stack includes SolidWorks, Capital Harness, and a healthy amount of elbow grease.
What you'll do:
- Architecture and electrical schematics
- Major component selection
- High voltage cable sizing and selection
- Wire harness topology, segmentation, design, schematics, build prints
- Working with suppliers to ensure on-time with quality delivery
- Validating electrical connections and components
- Performing design analysis such as WCCA and DFMEAs
- Troubleshooting and debugging system integration issues
Skills to be successful:
- Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience in durable electrified products (Electric Vehicles, Electric Grid Products/Services, Power Electronics, Wind, Solar, EV Charging Infrastructure, or similar)
- Strong organizational and change control skills
