About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the engineering and management of advanced data protection technologies, including Managed HSMs, Azure Key Vault, and other key and secret management systems. The ideal candidate will possess intermediate to advanced systems engineering experience in medium to large Enterprise environments, with a strong background in Linux server operating systems and production support. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Terraform, Python, and Harness is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide Tier 3 support and engineering for the management of data protection technologies, including key and secret management systems.
· Develop and implement scripting solutions and best practices for automation using Terraform, GitHub, and other tools.
· Create and maintain technical/engineering documentation.
· Research, design, test, and implement complex data protection technologies for GCP and Azure cloud platforms.
· Collaborate with encryption technology vendors to ensure their products meet our security requirements and objectives.
· Work with partner engineering teams to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
· Conduct risk assessments of infrastructure to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and industry best practices.
· Monitor access, configuration changes, and health of key and secret management platforms, including reviewing logs, automating tasks, and taking necessary technical actions to maintain infrastructure health and availability.
Required Qualifications:
· 4+ years of experience with information security applications and systems.
· 3+ years of intermediate to advanced experience in engineering and/or developing APIs or code for automation using Terraform, Python, and Harness.
· 3+ years of experience with encryption technologies, data protection, and secrets management.
· 1+ year of experience with Linux operating systems or Kubernetes engineering and automation.
· Cloud certification for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure.
Desired Qualifications:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with both business management and technical/engineering teams.
· Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospectives) or Kanban methodologies.
· Experience with engineering and support of Azure Key Vault (AKV) or similar technologies.
· Knowledge of server/file encryption technology, encryption key management, and information security policies related to cloud computing.
· Experience with infrastructure upgrades, security patches, or version upgrades.
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
· Understanding of cryptography, key management, and administration of digital certificates and keys for authentication and encryption.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
· Customer service experience and experience facilitating meetings with remote team members.
· Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data masking, and tokenization technologies.
