We are Web and Work Experiences team in M365 Core and, as a team, we are building the best AI Copilot Web and Work Experiences for Commercial Users. We build engaging and modern chat experiences for information workers and our Enterprise Users to give them the best Web and Work Copilot Experiences. To help us achieve our goals and partner with stakeholders in design, research, PM, and data science to influence the future of search in the enterprise, we seek an experienced full stack developer.
Software Engineer 2 will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Microsoft and the world to develop innovative AI solutions for Enterprises across all of commercial canvases of Microsoft for Enterprise Users. In the big picture, you will contribute to components integrated in applications across the Microsoft365 ecosystem, and across desktop and mobile form factors. - Design and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions in collaboration with teammates.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the development, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build.
- Constantly improve our product with monitoring and automation.
- Modularize components for use across Microsoft 365.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, and Scala.
- Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS etc.
- Familiarity with service development, testing and deployment.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, work independently, and work in a team environment for product excellence.
- Specializations in areas like artificial intelligence, machine learning, or database management can be beneficial.
- Experience in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
