About The Role

Software developed for the medical device industry requires rigor and attention to detail to meet industry and regulatory standards. It takes someone who can problem solve, is unwilling to give up, and is in tune with the highly regulated nature of medical device software. We're looking for a top-notch software engineer with a focus on quality who has experience with Android development in Kotlin, additional experience with the other framework is a plus.



Your responsibilities include:

  • Develop a BLE-intensive native mobile application for Android using Kotlin
  • Produce highly testable code
  • Write automated tests including unit, integration, and functional tests
  • Participate in design reviews to provide architectural feedback
  • Conduct code reviews with your peers
  • Conform to a highly regulated software environment
  • Focus on patient safety
  • Continuously improve processes and dev methodologies while working effectively with cross-functional groups


What we're looking for:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Software or Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5-7 years of experience with Android applications
  • 1 year or more of using Kotlin
  • Experience developing against web services
  • Thorough understanding of unit testing, mocking, and integration testing of native code


Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of continuous integration for Android
  • Experience creating automated UI tests with Espresso
  • Understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Team player willing to collaborate with peers & communicate effectively
