Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Sr. Advanced Electrical (RF) Engineer with experience in the analysis, design, and measurement of electromagnetic systems in the RF and millimeter wave bands. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wave propagation and measurement of electromagnetic fields in electrically small to electrically large, complex cavities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead RF modeling efforts of cryogenic systems using commercial full wave solvers and statistical methods.
- Develop RF measurement techniques for cryogenic systems.
- Work with subject matter experts from cross-functional teams to develop cryogenic shielding solutions.
YOU MUST HAVE
- US Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in electrical engineering; other technical disciplines with relevant experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of experience in electromagnetic analysis and measurement.
WE VALUE
- Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering.
- Relevant experience in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing using IEEE Standard 299, MIL-STD 461 and 464.
- Experience with modeling and measurement using reverberation chambers.
- Familiarity with common RF measurement equipment such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, signal generator, etc.
- Microwave component selection and test.
- Knowledge of RF absorbing materials at cryogenic temperatures.
- Knowledge of software for electromagnetic simulation tools, e.g., Ansys HFSS, CST Studio Suite, FEKO, COMSOL, etc.
- Knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis and instrument control.
- Self-motivated with appetite to take on new tasks and learn new skillsets.
