This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in the office) and we will consider candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX.

Job summary:

The USRM Servicing Technology team is seeking to hire a Lead Engineer – RPA / AWS in their IVR and RPA bot Automation space. In this role you will work within Agile delivery teams to provide solutions that boost efficiency, profitability, and streamline operations, reducing human intervention while addressing the needs of customers, agents, representatives, and back-office employees.

The candidate will be reporting to an Engineering Manager and is responsible for establishing technology strategy and roadmaps as well as product recommendations that enable business flexibility at the enterprise level. The role drives change that moves our Automation technology and business forward, managing/solving the most complex problems, and providing leadership across engineering teams to unlock Automation capabilities.

In this role, you would:

  • Lead technical delivery of solutions that meet customer needs and align with technology guardrails and strategy.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and application teams to create technical vision and roadmap to modernize existing systems.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams to drive full cycle end-to-end development from design through implementation.
  • Make recommendations to ensure efficient and effective use of funding.
  • Participate during incident management events and provide consultative recommendations on viable resolutions.
  • Be responsible for prototyping complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologies.
  • Contribute to decisions that impact profitability and operational effectiveness.
  • Work with business partners to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans.
  • Design and architect solutions for software components and applications that can adapt quickly, including withstanding disruptions, and continue to function effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong technical architecture and leadership skills with ability to handle multiple activities in a dynamic and energizing environment.
  • Drive change, and adapt to change quickly, using your strong communication skills and be recognized as a thought leader within the company.
  • Facilitate cross-team/train learnings, communication, and alignment.
  • Practice learning, curiosity and courage to enable strong business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Experience with AWS services for IVR, e.g., Lex and Lambda, plus Amazon Connect.
  • Experience with UiPath Platform.
  • Experience with API development using NodeJS and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing.
  • Experience with application observability tools, e.g., DataDog.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and emerging technologies.
  • Solid negotiation, facilitation, consensus building and influencing skills.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • A design thinking, test-driven development, and shift-left mindset.
  • Proven ability to speak to varying levels of the organization and successfully collaborate across the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Software Engineers, Test Engineers) to drive technology decisions and support engineering excellence.
  • Ability to mentor others and raise a team's technical capabilities.
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies, within areas of expertise, via formal training and self-directed education.
  • AWS, RPA or comparable certifications a plus.
