As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Technology Applied Research Team of the Quantum Networking division, you will encompass the design, development, and implementation of next-generation quantum networks for the firm. Your responsibilities will include operating and integrating quantum cryptographic systems across production-level communication networks, as well as collaborating closely with applied researchers to implement new protocols and solutions. This opportunity would allow you to apply your technical expertise to tasks with a defined scope, such as testing infrastructure performance and ensuring requirements are successfully met. Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement quantum-safe networks in both lab and field environments.
- Apply technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully met.
- Drive results, collect and analyze monitoring data in test and production, and see assignments through to completion.
- Carry out day-to-day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters.
- Escalate issues to appropriate leaders.
- Develop considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications.
- Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Experience in setting up security protocols like IPSec and MACsec.
- Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments.
- General knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and moderate proficiency in relevant scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.).
