Job Title: Test Automation Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA (Preferred)
About the Role:
We're seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing strategies, and have a knack for identifying the root causes of test failures, we want to hear from you. With a focus on networking development and testing environments, as well as Windows-specific development, this role is ideal for someone looking to leverage their deep technical expertise to impact our product offerings positively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases, focusing on both new features and regression testing to ensure product quality.
- Lead performance testing initiatives to guarantee our software meets all efficiency and scalability standards.
- Troubleshoot and isolate failures within test cases to distinguish between potential test case issues and code failures, ensuring accurate fault identification.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to understand product specifications and develop relevant test cases.
- Participate in the development and testing environment setup, with a strong emphasis on networking and Windows platforms.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Optionally, engage in the development and testing of Windows Network Drivers, adding value through specialized expertise in this area.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in test automation, including proficiency in creating new test cases, regression testing, and performance testing.
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and isolating test case failures versus code failures within large testing frameworks.
- Strong background in both networking and Windows development/testing environments.
- Familiarity with writing Windows Network Drivers is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
