Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Seattle, WA (Preferred)

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about ensuring product quality through comprehensive testing strategies, and have a knack for identifying the root causes of test failures, we want to hear from you. With a focus on networking development and testing environments, as well as Windows-specific development, this role is ideal for someone looking to leverage their deep technical expertise to impact our product offerings positively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases, focusing on both new features and regression testing to ensure product quality.
  2. Lead performance testing initiatives to guarantee our software meets all efficiency and scalability standards.
  3. Troubleshoot and isolate failures within test cases to distinguish between potential test case issues and code failures, ensuring accurate fault identification.
  4. Collaborate closely with the development team to understand product specifications and develop relevant test cases.
  5. Participate in the development and testing environment setup, with a strong emphasis on networking and Windows platforms.
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Optionally, engage in the development and testing of Windows Network Drivers, adding value through specialized expertise in this area.

Qualifications:

  1. 5-10 years of experience in test automation, including proficiency in creating new test cases, regression testing, and performance testing.
  2. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and isolating test case failures versus code failures within large testing frameworks.
  3. Strong background in both networking and Windows development/testing environments.
  4. Familiarity with writing Windows Network Drivers is highly desirable.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
