SAIC has a funded need for a Software Test Engineer to fill a key position supporting a Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer charged will delivering solutions across a range of rapidly expanding and complex space and ground system initiatives. This position servers on-site with the Customer located in Chantilly, VA.
The customer is developing a next generation of space and ground systems architectures.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Oversee planning and execution of requirements verification testing
- Identify and coordinate test requirements for new contracts and/or contract modifications
- Evaluate test plans and procedures and monitor their use during system testing
- Provide testing subject matter expertise for incorporation of system elements during integrated system tests
- Create, edit, and lead coordination of test documentation
- Coordinate data inputs/outputs in support of software tests
- Identify and report software testing discrepancies, assess their impacts, and make recommendations on potential workarounds and fixes to ensure requirement verification
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors and 14+ years of relevant experience; OR Masters and 12+ years of relevant experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Experience using industry standard testing principles for software testing and analysis
- Experience supporting requirements sell-off processes
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with test engineers, as well as other technical and non-technical personnel
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across organizations with competing priorities
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automated testing scripting, execution, and reporting
- Hands on experience with automated test scripting using Selenium or similar tool
- Experience negotiating and ensuring compliance with oversight organizations (e.g., independent test or enterprise test organizations)
- Experience communicating testing strategies, plans, status, and results through presentations and in writing
