As a Senior Development Manager, you will lead a dynamic team working on a unique and high-profile project in collaboration with our cloud and security analysis engineering teams. Your role will involve developing and deploying mission-critical services that operate at large scale, and every service plays a critical role in helping the business achieve its objectives. You will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of existing and new services, this is not a hands on role but having a software development background and ability to speak both technical and translating that non-technical is critical to be successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team in EU and AU for the development of ground up software for a unique purpose that integrates with security analysis services.
Guide the design, implementation of new and existing services.
Drive ongoing agile process improvements, reducing defects while improving velocity of sprint cycles.
Oversee the use CI/CD processes for building and delivering services, while delivering greater visibility using reports for builds, tests of all types.
Hire, mentor and manage a team of diverse software developers.
Provide weekly reports on status reports and blockers, while proactively working with teams to remove barriers
Collaborate with all of the necessary internal and external organisations to deliver outcomes
What You’ll Bring:
A BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with substantial coding experience, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience in software development, working in agile methodologies (Java is strongly preferred)
Proven ability to design, develop, and negotiate API specifications.
Extensive experience in applying development principles using efficient coding patterns.
In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
A keen eye for detail, with a critical and considerate approach.
Experience in Unit Testing Design and Implementation into CI.
Experience with producing meaningful reports and presenting to the executive level
Nice to Have:
Extensive experience in building and managing services/Microservices and frameworks.
Proficiency with RESTful web services.
Experience in integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
Proven ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams.
Familiarity with PaaS components like Cloud Object Storage.
Experience with build tools such as Gradle, Ant, Maven, or similar.
Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or similar.
Strong ability to drive, implement, and promote cross-team processes.

Canada: Hiring Range from $101,200 to $221,000 CAD per annum
US: Hiring Range: from $84,700 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
