Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team in Deptford, NJ. As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in civil or environmental engineering, with a focus on water and wastewater systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to promoting sustainable and efficient water management practices.
Responsibilities:
1\. Project Planning and Design:
- Lead the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct feasibility studies, hydraulic analyses, and environmental impact assessments.
2\. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to water and wastewater systems.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
3\. Project Management:
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery within established parameters.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
4\. Technical Analysis:
- Perform technical analyses, simulations, and modeling for water and wastewater systems.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies and solutions to improve system efficiency.
5\. Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals.
- Present technical information and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
6\. Construction Oversight:
- Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address any technical issues that may arise.
7\. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure the reliability and functionality of water and wastewater systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ.
- Proven experience in the design and management of water and wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, hydraulic systems, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
