LOCATION
Hybrid - We understand that life happens and strive to make it easier for employees to juggle work, family and life demands so they can define what fulfillment means to them. As part of our investment in our employees, this role is eligible to participate in Tepa's Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week).
ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to participate in project design from the conceptual phase to the construction phase. As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you will collaborate with the various project teams to develop, refine, and update design criteria, design direction, and be responsible for generation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. It is preferred that the successful candidate have experience working with at least one of the following entities: Federal, state, and local governments.
Job Functions:- Produces plans, reports, and specifications
- Assists in preparation of cost estimates
- Assists in preparation of inspection reports
- Performs quality control and quality assurance
- Performs calculations for design of lighting and electrical systems
- Works closely with junior engineering and drafting staff
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or similar from Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology accredited college or university
- A minimum of ten (10) years' experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer or having passed the FE exam with ability to become licensed engineer within a year of hire preferred.
- 4+ years of design experience in at the Federal government market (DoD/Air Force preferred)
- AutoCAD and Revit design experience
- Capability of working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred (not required):
- Previous military experience
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
