TRINITY’s expertise spans a broad range of environmental consulting, management and construction services, including due diligence discovery, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessment, soil vapor and groundwater monitoring, and remediation, through closure of sites with contaminated soil, soil vapor and groundwater. Our projects have ranged from Phase I environmental site assessments (Phase 1 ESA) and residential and commercial underground storage tank removal to characterization of petroleum hydrocarbons at service stations and distribution facilities, to solvent and perchlorate impacts in a multi-depth aquifer system, involving several property owners in the vicinity of a former ordnance manufacturing facility. In addition to the geology and engineering licenses held by professional staff, TRINITY offers our clients full-service environmental consulting and contracting services. Trinity is a licensed Hazardous Materials (A-Haz) Contractor, C-57 Drilling Contractor, and C-21 Demolition Contractor. For many of our clients we provide turn-key solutions and services to support all phases of their project including due diligence discovery, assessment, remediation, demolition, construction and occupancy.


Job Description

Trinity is looking for an experienced Senior Geologist or Engineer to join our team to support business development, and manage a variety of complex environmental projects across northern and Central California, and to mentor entry and mid-level staff.

We are seeking candidates who have senior experience and will be able to manage the delivery of all phases of existing and new projects, and entry to mid-level staff.


The job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Comply with policies and practices as described in the Company Employee Handbook

• Adhere to Company Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and all Health & Safety programs

• Manage a variety of environmental investigation and remediation tasks and projects from small to complex

• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and schedules

• Develop work plans for site investigation and remediation activities and directs field staff

• Prepare regulatory reports including remedial investigations, feasibility studies, cleanup action reports, sample and analysis plans, quality control/assurance plans, and health and safety plans

• Evaluate remediation technologies and present technical recommendations

• Interfaces with clients and regulators

• Conduct assigned staff reviews; provide staff mentoring

• Take professional charge on assigned projects

• Site Visits

• Overseeing field programs

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively within small project teams

• Ability to produce quality work products on time and within assigned budgets

• Eagerness to learn new things

• Sufficient background in math, chemistry and physics to apply knowledge to environmental remediation

• Data management, including facility with Microsoft Excel and Access

• Microsoft Word operation for report preparation and editing

• This position manages some or all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department.

• Senior project support for environmental investigation and remediation projects in a technical, project management and/or regulatory capacity.

• Leading and managing all size of projects, including long-term, large projects that have high risk reward, are of high strategic value, and/or have a high level of complexity.

• Providing project level technical leadership and strategic direction.

• Championing ethical and safe working practices.

• Development of strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.

• Working with the Program Manager and Senior Practice Leaders to enhance business growth.

• Foster client satisfaction including maintaining good client relationships and client development.

• Identifying risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact project outcomes.

• Contributing to project team development strategy, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.

• Accountable for overall project financial success and delivery


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Geology or similar field

• California Professional Geologist (P.G.) or Civil Professional Engineer (P.E.)

• 10 plus years of consulting experience

• Understanding of environmental regulations including local, state, and federal (e.g.: MTCA, CERCLA, and RCRA)

• Valid U.S Driver's License


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 11+ years demonstrated experience conducting and preparing activities and deliverables

• Engineering Geologist (C.E.G.) or Hydro geologist (C.Hg)

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher

• Strong technical capability across all phases environmental of work

• Able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in applicable technical areas and is frequently called on by clients and peers to manage and support projects

• Detailed understanding of the processes, regulations and client’s needs for success on complex projects
