We are looking for a Head of Growth & Web Engineering to lead a Growth team at DigitalOcean. This is a compelling opportunity to drive tremendous impact serving a global customer base. Our Team: The person filling this position will report to the VP Growth leading our overall Growth Strategy. Eight FT and five contractor engineers currently support the Growth & Web Engineering mission.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Collaborate with all Growth leaders to help deliver significant growth across DigitalOcean.
- Leading development and execution across 3 key areas of Engineering: Growth Engineering, Web Engineering, and Growth Platform Engineering.
- Partner with senior technical and business leadership to co-develop multi-year roadmaps across the organization.
- Leading your Engineering team to identify, prioritize and implement growth experiments at scale that align with DigitalOcean’s objectives.
- Streamline Growth Engineering processes and enhance the performance of Growth critical services while empowering rapid experimentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers and system administrators to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and optimize Growth UX and Growth Platform excellence.
- Proactively identify opportunities for technical and Growth product improvement and implement innovative solutions.
- Uplevel Growth Engineering managers to grow their careers and excel at DigitalOcean.
- People First Leader: Serve the team by continuously assessing their strengths and passions helping them to grow and develop. Provide them with the opportunities and visibility to be their best and help them achieve their goals.
- Visionary: Experience communicating effectively with peers and leaders, create allies and productive relationships, nurture collaboration and knowledge transfer, communicate with transparency, and further Growth organizational goals.
- Technologist: A proven background in some or all of: building for experimentation at scale, leveraging innovative technology to improve self-serve experiences, balancing fast movement with high quality, both Web and in Console execution.
- At least 10 years of experience in development and execution of Growth products.
- 5+ years’ experience in people, talent, and performance management; passion to mentor, motivate, and coach team members.
- Familiarity with our technical stack and tools.
