Job Description

***Qualified Systems Engineer with strong automated system experience candidates can be considered to the position. This is an 100% onsite role, but non-local candidates can be considered for this position too***


Our client is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer with Technical Knowledge of Automated Systems/Dematic Multishuttle Systems.


Required Experience:

• Experience working with Dematic Multishuttle Systems

• Experience with PLC

• Working experience with Electromechanical systems

• Working experience with SCADA systems


Required Skills and Abilities:

• System Operation: Understanding of the operation and functionality of Dematic’s Multishuttle systems for automated storage and retrieval (ASRS).

• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues with the shuttle systems.

• Software Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and material flow systems (MFS) that integrate with Dematic Multishuttle systems.

• Electromechanical Systems: Strong understanding of the principles of mechanical and electrical engineering to manage automated systems.

• Preventive Maintenance: Knowledge of maintenance best practices for minimizing downtime and extending the life of equipment.

• PLC Programming: Understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLC) and their use in managing automated processes.

• SCADA Systems: Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems used for monitoring and controlling operations.

• System Performance Analysis: Ability to analyze data related to system performance and optimize throughput, capacity, and efficiency.

• Continuous Improvement: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.

• System Upgrades: Experience in managing system upgrades, including coordination of technical teams and managing timelines.

• Stakeholder Communication: Ability to communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for system improvements and troubleshooting.

• Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical skills to quickly identify and solve system issues.

• Decision-Making Under Pressure: Ability to make informed decisions in time-sensitive situations, minimizing operational disruptions.
