POSITION OBJECTIVE
At Key Constructors, you’ll have the chance to bring your expertise to life in a role that combines creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on impact. Working closely with operations leadership, you’ll help design temporary structures for significant heavy highway construction projects, collaborating with a team that values innovation and practical solutions. POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with operations leadership to design temporary structures, including formwork, shoring, and access systems for heavy highway construction projects.
- Develop and refine innovative design solutions using available materials, ensuring cost-efficiency and structural integrity.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure designs meet safety standards and comply with DOT regulations.
- Oversee the implementation of designs in the field through site visits, ensuring adherence to engineering plans and specifications.
- Prepare and submit detailed design packages, including drawings and technical documents, for review and approval.
- Troubleshoot design challenges during project execution, working closely with construction teams to develop real-time solutions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a focus in structural engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing temporary structures for heavy highway or civil engineering projects.
- Expertise in shoring plans, steel erection, and structural analysis.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in engineering designs and calculations.
- Ability to conduct field visits and manage design execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
