Candidate should reside in Boston and have lab planning experience in the following areas:

  • Strong in Revit
  • Self-starter
  • Project management

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates technical competence in programming, planning and design of lab spaces
  • Portfolio of recent projects including labs such as biology, chemistry, R&D, diagnostics, animal care facilities, CLIA, and manufacturing
  • Basic knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements for laboratory design
  • Ability to lead discussions with clients in all phases of project development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Keen design sense and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of lab equipment and utilities
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Degree in Science is a plus
  • Project Management skills is a plus
  • Provides technical planning expertise for lab spaces in the areas of Equipment Surveying, Programming, Test Fits, Schematic Design, Design Development, MEP coordination, Equipment Planning, Casework Specification, Construction Documents, Construction Administration and Project Closeout
  • Leads user group meetings to understand unique needs for each lab space
  • Anticipates and develops solutions to technical design problems
  • Actively seeks new knowledge in the design and planning of labs
  • Maintains high client satisfaction to further client relationships
  • Participation in local region’s Life Science community, building relationships and connections as passive business development

Required Years of Experience: 3-8
