Software Test Engineer

Location/Remote: Hybrid Remote in Alpharetta, GA (i.e., 3 days onsite/week)

Employment Type: 6-month W-2 contract (possibility to extend)

Compensation: up to $52/hour W-2 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our software testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java and experience developing automation scripts for web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct automation testing for both mobile and web applications utilizing Java, ensuring robust and scalable test scripts for end-to-end functionality.
• Maintain and update existing test suites as the application evolves.
• Execute automated tests regularly to ensure product quality.
• Analyze test results and generate comprehensive reports.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to identify testing requirements and ensure test coverage.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience is software QA, with 1+ specific to writing automation scripts using Java
• Experience with mobile test automation tools (e.g., Appium).
• Experience using Selenium (or similar tool) for UI automation testing.
• Experience using Postman (or similar tool) for API testing.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to write clear and concise test cases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• Familiarity with other automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit).
• Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
