The Software Engineer will support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) by performing software activities focused on assisting the Air Force move forward with digital transformation. Successful candidates will have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. This project offers the ability to work in an office/remote hybrid format with a team of highly-skilled engineers.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement new capabilities and custom software solutions to solve unique government customer problems.
- Follow best practices to write well-tested, high-performing code.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Integrate capabilities with external services and tools.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
- Ability to communicate technical details of work.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and take ownership for segments of a project.
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Open, team-oriented, with a strong desire to learn.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience with Python or related programming language.
- 3+ years of React, Angular, or related framework/library.
- Experience developing software for Linux environments.
- Experience with version control software (e.g., Git).
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Desired Experience
- Experience with Containers; Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- Understanding of configuration management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, or Puppet.
