We are seeking a seasoned Product Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This role is critical to our company's success and will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products, which are used in a variety of industries, including aerospace and military. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality plans, conducting inspections, and performing root cause analysis to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to make a significant impact in a leading manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement and maintain quality plans and procedures to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards and customer requirements.
2. Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products using tools such as micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
3. Lead failure review boards and root cause analysis to address and resolve product quality issues.
4. Handle non-conforming material and initiate corrective actions using techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys, and DMAIC.
5. Participate in first article inspections and review of blueprints to ensure compliance with product specifications.
6. Implement and monitor PPAP processes to ensure product consistency and reliability.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ISO9001, Aerospace, and Military Standards.
8. Engage with government officials to ensure adherence to necessary regulations and standards.
9. Utilize advanced mathematical techniques for problem-solving and process improvement.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control in the manufacturing industry, preferably with steel and aluminum products.
3. ASQ certification or equivalent is a must.
4. Proficiency in quality control tools such as micrometers, gauges, and CMM.
5. Strong knowledge of quality methodologies such as 6 Sigma, PPAP, 8D, 5 Whys, and DMAIC.
6. Experience with ISO9001, Aerospace, and Military Standards.
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead failure review boards and present findings to stakeholders.
10. Proficiency in mathematics and statistical analysis.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
