Security Engineer

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Security Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the security of multiple applications.
• Must have the ability to produce incident response and recovery plans. Must be knowledgeable in Cyber resiliency, planning, web application and platform security testing.
• Design monitoring and alerting capabilities for anomalous activity in multiple systems.
• Monitors platform and application for anomalous activity in systems.
• Understands application critical data and vulnerability points.
• Coordinates with industry partners to advise the government on security vulnerabilities and recommendations.
• Ability to correlate data to help detect, remediate, monitor, and provide feedback for changes.
• Experience with cloud technology.
• Responsible for the operations of secure cloud infrastructure, platforms, and software.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade the organization's cloud computing environments and core infrastructure.
• Develops, builds, maintains, upgrades and continuously improves cloud networks and cloud-based systems in accordance with defense-in-depth security governance policies and guidelines.
• Manages the communication security (COMSEC) resources of an organization (CNSSI 4009) or key custodian for a crypto key management system (CKMS).
• Performs all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of the organization's website and transactions across the Internet including the protection of confidential order information and external business-to-business connections.
• Applies Internet firewall and encryption technologies to maintain organizational and customer security.
• Updates and deletes users, monitors, and performs follow-up compliance violations, and develops security policies and practices and guidelines.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• Senior: 8 years experience
• Travel: 10 %
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in related field or in lieu of degree, 4 additional years of experience
