Client : One of the largest Diesel Engines manufacturers

Overview:

This position is the liaison between the field test fleets of vehicles and the engineers. This position's goal is to keep the fleet up and running by project managing any issues that arise.

Duties:

  • Determine potential exposure to Client on product problems and provide affected area with cost and customer impact information needed to establish priority for corrective action.
  • Participate in failure analyses on Midrange engine components to assist Filed Service Warranty, and Engineering with problem definitions.
  • Meet with customers and distributors to investigate problems, discuss solutions and conduct training.
  • Support product development teams and problem solving teams via the installation of field test engines/components and the monitoring/reporting of reliability data.
  • Provide Service input during Design Reviews, M Reviews, etc. to ensure the serviceability of new components and products.
  • Support the initial publication and subsequent revision of Service literature (O&M Manual, T&R Manual, Shop Manual, Service/Parts Topics, etc.) for Midrange engines.
  • Support the Dealer Technical Escalation process.

Qualification:

  • BS or MS degree in ME, IE, EE, AgE, or equivalent with 2-4 years relevant experience.
  • Ability and discipline to clearly define and document product problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple work assignments in a highly unstructured work environment (e.g. Time Management skills).
  • Ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems systematically using data-based problem solving techniques.
  • Understanding of engineering analysis tools, statistical methods and project management tools.
  • Understanding of internal combustion engines and engine systems.
