Here, you will make an impact by:Development and implementation of improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)Driving cost and productivity improvements by leading Continuous Improvement projects with a variety of toolsets, including standard work development, Lean & Six Sigma methodologies, tier reviews, and kaizensDevelopment and implementation of cross-functional projects, plans, and programs in support of business and strategic plans new process start-ups, new process technology integration, aggressive cost reduction, and supply chain improvement using Continuous Improvement toolsProactively communicates project direction and status to appropriate personnelEngagement and involvement in daily operations to meet service targets, including direction/support of maintenance and division engineering activitiesRealize growth opportunities by guiding new product introduction efforts and completing experimental runsRepresenting 3M Knoxville during internal and external customer interactions and auditsYour Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree or higher from an accredited universityBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial EngineeringMinimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completionExperience in supporting new product development and commercialization.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)Experience in lean manufacturing or Aerospace IndustrySelf-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passionWork location:Knoxville, IowaTravel: May include up to 5% DomesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
