About The Role

Our ML platform is designed to provide comprehensive machine learning solutions, encompassing a range of services from the feature store and real-time model serving to data exploration notebooks and model training pipelines, all within Remitly's ecosystem. As an engineer on the Machine Learning (ML) platform team, you will be the backbone of our feature store. You will ensure high-quality feature availability for our ML models, working with data scientists, ML engineers, and other partners. You will report to the Machine Learning Platform Engineering Manager. This position is based in our Seattle office.

You Will

1. Build production systems that provide data derived results in real-time or batch.
2. Partner with Economists, Analysts, and Engineers to build the strategies and products that power our pricing engine.
3. Design the future of our ML feature, training, and serving systems.
4. Have a significant impact on Remitly's bottom line.
5. Improve our ML platform ensuring better data product delivery throughout the entire organization.

You Have

1. 4+ years of experience working with data that feeds machine learning models.
2. Experience with large-scale data processing systems like Apache Spark and Flink.
3. Familiarity with feature store concepts and experience building and maintaining feature stores.
4. Practical knowledge building ML models to solve industry problems.
5. Built or worked with ML feature stores and autonomous training and validation pipelines.

Compensation Details

The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000-$225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
