Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:
Our site in Chaska is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. We are excited to bring eager, talented students on board and provide them with an unparalleled 6-month co-op experience. The Entegris Co-Op Program consists of real work experience, cross-functional learning and development opportunities, and a variety of social and volunteering events.

Commitment: This is a full-time (40 hrs/week) commitment from January - June 2025. Students should work with their academic advisors to determine eligibility to participate in a co-op and/or ability to receive school credit.

In this role you will:

1. Work alongside CI and Operation professionals to support projects with low cost and risk for a single site/location for the AMH Division.
2. Be exposed to the technical and management aspects of engineering and continuous improvement, while beginning to develop an interest for longer term career aspirations.
3. Support the daily management tiered meeting structure, participating in structured problem solving.
4. Support the completion of Kaizen events to drive improvements across operations with respect to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

You're a good fit if you have:

1. Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
2. Gain an understanding of the plant, process, and equipment by working with a diverse group of functional areas on projects such as efficiency issues and waste reduction.
3. Work with a diverse group of cross-functional areas such as safety, maintenance, process engineering, and operations.
4. Communicate with people diverse in language ability, educational levels, and experience.
5. Implement 5S initiatives in a specified area in CHS operation floor.
6. Support and enhance problem solving at the daily Tier 1 Meetings.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

1. Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures.
2. Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles.
3. Strong time management skills.
4. Flexibility and accountability to support needs of operations.
5. Professional and positive communication skills and ability to work well in group settings.
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Teams is a plus.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

1. Currently working towards a degree in a relevant engineering program (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Manufacturing).
2. Bachelor's/master's degree to be completed between December 2024 - May 2027.
