Music & Paging - many facilities want to introduce background music within certain areas of their space, or they have the need to page employees or occupants and direct their efforts.
Summary of the role:
Lencore is seeking an Electronics Technician to troubleshoot and repair faulty PC boards. The right candidate for this role will have thorough knowledge of electronic systems, soldering/de-soldering techniques for through-hole and surface mount components to carry out the necessary tasks.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit boards with minimal supervision.
- Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design.
- Expertise in the use of oscilloscope, function generator, DMM, and general lab equipment.
- Expertise with soldering, de-soldering, and re-work of through hole and surface mount components down to 0402 size using a microscope as necessary.
- Working knowledge of complex digital and analog circuits including op-amps, DC/DC power supplies, audio amplifiers, etc.
- Working knowledge of I2C and SPI protocol a plus but not required.
- Capable of reading electronic schematics.
- Proficient with Windows based software.
- Detail oriented and well organized a must.
Education and Experience:
- AAS in Electrical Engineering and working toward a bachelor's degree minimum.
- 2 years minimum working with lab equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service electronic equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to distinguish various colors of wires and distinguish electronic system sections and wiring.
- Ability to use a microscope.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers.
