We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment and processes in our chemical manufacturing plant. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance, minimizing downtime, and optimizing equipment life and operational costs. You’ll collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and align with plant goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies to boost equipment reliability and availability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance and operations teams.
  • Design and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance plans based on data and best practices.
  • Analyze equipment performance to identify trends and adjust maintenance schedules using reliability tools (e.g., FMEA, Weibull analysis).
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to propose design improvements that reduce downtime and enhance reliability.
  • Lead or contribute to projects aimed at optimizing equipment reliability and processes.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory, balancing availability for essential equipment with minimizing excess stock.
  • Assist in capital projects by reviewing equipment specs and offering reliability and maintainability input.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental standards, and company policies related to reliability.
  • Provide training and technical support to maintenance teams on reliability best practices and equipment care.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, ideally in a chemical manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in reliability engineering practices and tools like RCM, RCA, FMEA, and predictive maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo) for managing work orders and planning maintenance.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, API, ANSI).
  • Effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate across departments.
  • Certifications like CRE or CMRP are a plus.
