We are seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer at the Integrated Products Division of ARA. This position includes design of printed circuit boards, technical capabilities to support, fabricate, assemble, test, and troubleshoot state of the art electronics in the field of robotics and sensors. Applicants should be familiar with IP67 rated enclosures and connectors, electrical schematic creation, PCB design, cable fabrication, and other electro-mechanical assemblies. This job will require travel to install or troubleshoot field installations of robotics and sensors.You will join a dynamic team working on our Robotic, Sensor, and Geotechnical product lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and facilities management, with expertise in optimizing electrical systems and processes within industrial facilities.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate existing electrical systems and facilities infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and safety.Develop and implement strategies to optimize electrical processes, including power distribution, lighting, HVAC systems, and renewable energy integration.Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for facility upgrades, retrofits, and expansions, considering factors such as energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, operations, maintenance, and EH&S, to develop and execute projects aimed at enhancing facility performance and resilience.Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruptions.Design and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal reliability and longevity.Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical engineering, facilities management, and energy conservation.Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for electrical projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on facilities management, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, process equipment, power distribution, lighting, controls, and building automation systems.Experience with facility energy management, including energy audits, load profiling, and implementation of energy conservation measures.Proficiency in electrical design software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP) and familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and SCADA systems.Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and ASHRAE.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
