Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 6+ years of experience to support Water/Wastewater projects. This position is available in multiple markets, including Southern California, Northern California, Florida (Coral Springs, West Palm Beach, Orlando, or Miami), Denver, or Phoenix. Ideal candidates will have a experience in water/wastewater, but we are also open to candidates from industrial or large commercial backgrounds (excluding retail, restaurants, homes, multifamily, offices, TI). Candidates with water/wastewater experience who have a stable job history may be considered for a fully remote position, regardless of location. Will consider candidates from different industries without water/wastewater experience if they live near an office in one of the markets listed above, and have a strong understanding of NEC.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities with minimum supervision by a Sr. Level Electrical EngineerPerform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generationQualifications6 to 12 years experience working in Electrical EngineeringPE registration requiredBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringFamiliarity with power system applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factorField investigative and start-up experienceStrong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820 and NESCFamiliarity with the IEEE color book seriesProficient in MS Word and ExcelExcellent communication skillsHighly motivated, articulate, and self-startingHave the ability to interact positively with clientsBenefits/perksFlexible work environment, relaxed atmosphere, & huge emphasis on work life balanceHybrid & remote option (fully remote if candidate has water/wastewater experience)Strong focus on career development & defined career pathsWell established company - been around 80+ years and work is extremely stableConsistently ranked in the Top 50 in ENR's Top 500 Design FirmsWork SiteThis is a remote position if you have water/wastewater experienceWork EnvironmentThe role involves minimal travel (5-10%), mainly for deliverable submissions and workshops lasting 1-2 days.
