Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for a fast-growing company in the Boston area. This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in the office).

We are unable to hire candidates on OPT or offer visa sponsorship & visa transfer.

Job Scope

1. Work with a team of 4 other Engineers to design, develop, and test backend software.
2. Collaborate with data scientists to integrate their algorithms into live products and services.
3. Be able to multitask and set priorities under minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

1. 8 years of experience with Python and AWS services.
2. Passionate about being part of a purpose-driven early-stage company and contributing to a mission that matters. Excited by the opportunity to have an impact building from the ground up.
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
4. Experience with functional programming.
5. Prior experience supporting data scientists is highly desirable.

Interview Process

1. Recruiter phone screen.
2. Hiring manager intro call - via video (30 minutes).
3. Take-home coding assessment.
4. Code review - 1 hour.
5. Meet the team - 45 minutes.
6. Offer contingent upon successful reference checks.
