Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned, and experienced professional for the role of VP of Electrical Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class team in the renewable energy industry, specifically focusing on the utility-scale solar sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in utility-scale, C&I, and/or large-scale solar projects, with a proven track record in product engineering, management, strategy, architecture, and customer/client-facing.
As the VP of Electrical Engineering, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all aspects of electrical engineering, including the design, development, and implementation of innovative solar energy solutions.
- Leading and managing a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality performance and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve product offerings, increase efficiency, and meet company objectives.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and client needs.
- Representing the company in client meetings, industry events, and other public forums, demonstrating thought leadership in the field of electrical engineering and solar energy.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry trends and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of the energy sector.
- Ensuring all engineering activities and processes comply with industry standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within the electrical engineering field, preferably in the renewable energy or solar sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in utility-scale, C&I, and/or large-scale solar projects.
- Proven experience in client-facing role, collaborating with sales team on client meetings.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and technologies.
- Strong knowledge of product engineering, with a track record of developing and launching successful products will be a plus.
