LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a Plant Engineer to join their team in Batavia, IL. The Plant Engineer will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager to ensure the plant's operations are compliant with safety regulations, maintain high-quality standards, and optimize costs. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Construction Management and demonstrate proficiency in MS Office products. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and cost optimization goals.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of plant facilities and equipment to identify potential safety hazards, quality issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to safety procedures, quality control protocols, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyze plant operations and processes to identify areas for improvement in safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and address issues related to safety, quality, and cost.
- Provide technical expertise and support for plant projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, and cost to evaluate plant performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to plant engineering, safety, and quality management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
- Previous experience or internship as a plant engineer, industrial engineer, or manufacturing engineer.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and cost optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to safety, quality, and cost management in a manufacturing environment.
