About the Team
VIZIO Ad Tech is looking for a proactive and self-starting Software Engineer to own our automation. Our tech stack is growing more complex, and we need an engineer to write full-stack automation scripts and tests to validate features that touch multiple services with both internal and external dependencies. In this hands-on role, you will help four high-performing software engineering teams to deploy code to production with confidence that our CICD pipeline is validating features consistently.
What You Will Do
- Own full-stack automation testing and validation for features that cross multiple services and teams.
- Write tests that validate features that touch multiple internal services and third-party APIs, validating everything from UI functionality to database records; from request parameters to log-level data written to S3.
- Take responsibility for quality gates for CICD processes that deploy code.
- Automate repetitive tasks, improve team workflows, and cover large feature sets with tests that give us confidence to continuously deploy.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate automated solutions seamlessly with their infra and codebases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automation processes.
- Optimize CICD pipelines for efficiency and current best practices.
- Document processes and infrastructure config, enabling easier future additions to the CICD pipeline and automation testing suites.
About You
- Completed high school diploma or GED, preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in automation engineering.
- Proficiency in a scripting language, like Python or Shell.
- Experience with automation testing tools, like Cypress or Selenium.
- Experience with CICD tools and processes, like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
Nice to Haves
- Ad tech experience (or at least a willingness to learn) - our tech stack is supply-side Ad Tech that serves ad impressions to televisions and generates reports and data.
- Cloud infrastructure experience, specifically AWS (although any cloud experience is a transferable skill).

For Colorado-based employment: The salary for this position is $110,000/year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
