An industrial equipment manufacturing client of ours has an opening for Vacuum Design Engineer. This role will design components, chambers and systems for the vacuum market segment. This is a direct hire opening! Candidates MUST have experience with ultra high vacuum system requirements as well as testing and qualification of chambers for UHV.Job Title: Vacuum Design EngineerLocation: Ramsey, MNSalary: 75-110k, depends on experienceKey ResponsibilitiesCreates designs, specifications, models, bills of material and manufacturing drawings along with a team of other engineers and drafters.Coordinates efforts with production to ensure that the design meets manufacturability capabilities including tolerance stack up and surface finish.Ensures that the intended product or structure will be safe, dependable, cost effective and meet customer or regulatory requirements.Builds a prototype if needed, for testing and approval.Reviews customer models and drawings for missing or incorrect information required in producing the customer’s part through to completion.RequirementsBS Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Machine Design, Process Design or related field. 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment related to vacuum equipment or vacuum processing.AAS degree in relevant field such as Mechanical Design with 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment related to vacuum equipment or vacuum processing.Experience with ultra-high vacuum product design and manufacturing required.
